Founder & Creative Director
Maya opened Golden Hour after a decade in Mayfair salons that were beautiful — and a little too loud. She wanted fewer chairs, longer consultations, and colour that still looks intentional three months later.
She is known for soft, lived-in colour and shapes that grow out without a drama. Clients describe her as warm, exacting, and slightly allergic to trends that do not suit the person in the mirror. Ask her about low-maintenance blondes; she has opinions.
Senior Stylist
James is the quiet one with the sharpest eye for balance. His cuts work across textures — coily, curly, wavy, straight — and he is the stylist first-timers often request after a friend whispers “he just gets it.”
He trained in London and New York, then came home for the pace. Expect a calm chair, honest advice, and a shape that still looks good when you skip the blow-dry. He also does some of the best men’s cuts in SW3, if you ask around.
Colour Specialist
Sofia grew up between Milan and London and brought both — the precision and the warmth. Balayage, dimensional blondes, rich brunettes and copper work are her territory. She will remember your holiday plans and whether you hated that ashy toner last time.
She talks with her hands, laughs easily, and never lets a colour leave without a gloss that makes the light catch. If you want something sun-kissed rather than striped, ask for Sofia.
Stylist
Priya is the gentle presence clients book when they need to feel looked after. Soft waves, polished blow-drys, bridal work and thoughtful trims are her everyday — she has a gift for making people exhale in the chair.
She trained under Maya and shares the house rule: no style that only works in the salon. Brides love her trials; regulars love that she always asks how the last cut grew out before she picks up the scissors.
